Marshall Villarreal

Marshall Villarreal is a composer/multi-instrumentalist based out of Los Angeles.

Marshall pursued his passion for composition at Columbia College Chicago, earning a Bachelors in Music Composition before being accepted in the schools Music for the Screen graduate program, where Marshall continued to push boundaries in composition and musical innovation, guided by the expertise of Kubilay Uner.

During his graduate program, Marshall achieved a significant milestone by being selected to compose the music for the undergraduate animation department's capstone project "Scream Writers". This project, under his musical direction, went on to win awards in the festival circuit, highlighting Marshall's skill and contribution to the intersection of music and visual storytelling. Embarking on a successful freelance career, Marshall has crafted captivating soundtracks for video games and short films. His versatility and talent quickly garnered attention, leading to various opportunities both within and outside the academic realm.
